This is the final version of the rules.
- type of car free, covered wheels, no formula, GP or similar open wheeler, excluding hot rods - resin, plastic kits, glassfiber laminate - NO CFK, NO RTR, no vacformed bodies - clear glass parts mandatory, excl. tail lights which may be painted - interior mandatory, consisting of part of panel, steering wheel, driver bust with full plastic head, details, has to be 3D such as vacuformed or scratchbuilt, i.e printed paper sheets or similar not allowed - scale details ( mirrors, wipers, exhausts, Spoilers etc.) mandatory - Spoilers have to be mounted in a way that they can be refitted. Only complete cars will take part.
- color and decoration has to be congenial to the era the car presents, i.e no vintage car with modern decoration and vice versa, minimum three numbers
- chassis free - 2 mm clearance, excl. gear and motor ( 0,7 mm ) - guide completely covered by the body - wheels completely covered by the body, no protrusion at all ( excl. Hot Rods )
- wheel diameter SCALE. Everyone nowadays is able to find necessary specs and pictures in the web that show and prove the sizes - four identical inserts, corresponding to car type and era - PU rear tyres - front wheels full width, touch and roll w/o pressing on the roof, may be sealed, rubber material free
- MAXIMUM WIDTH has to be verifyable by the dimensions of the original 1:1 car without even the tiniest further tolerance
- no ARTIN or similar sized 13D motors, maximum motor size like Go! / SCX, Mabuchi SH-030, Lifelike
- Power 12 volts, amperage more than necessary... ------------------------------------------------------------------
To avoid any discussions afterwards pictures of the cars shall be shown before they are sent - sideview, plan view, chassis. So possible inaccuracies can be corrected in advance.
Please mind and respect the idea of "SCALE". Every discussion about "how true to scale are the available kits, models and bodies really ?" is useless and wastes space, nothing else.
------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally some old, but ingenious, simple and understandable words that should be the dogma for all Proxy Forums :
"This kind of competition CAN be fun if you let it, however, some folks need a little reminder once in awhile so here we go.
1. You are here to have fun. Please have it. If your goal is to just complain about event rules, or to try and bend the rules, you are in the wrong place.
2. Don't like the rules of a certain race? DO NOT ENTER IT.
And please refer to rule number one. This rule is about as clear and easy as it can get. It simply means no bickering/complaining about the rules set by the race organizer. Read the rules they have set, and comply. It's that easy. Have a question regarding legality of a part/technique, etc? Ask away per PN.
If you don’t have the correct body, motor, wheels, tires, etc, then either acquire them or find a race that you do have the parts for. Or if you’re so inclined, maybe organize your own race.
But do NOT start requesting rules changes to suit YOU. Such as "I wish you would allow this, or we should change this" comments."
These words are from another forum, but they come straight to the point, so I use them, too. ------------------------------------------------------------
kind regards,
Roland
