Dear all, Nice to meet you!
Sorry for posting in English. I'm a brazilian collector of Slot cars, and my collection is focused on Brazilian race cars, or foreign race cars that raced here from 50's to 80's.
You have a great forum and I would like to share some of my projects with you.
Following, you will find one of my latest cars. It is a brazilian carretera Chevrolet that reproduces the car that won the Brazilian Mil Milhas in 1965 driven by Victorio Azzalin and Justino de Maio. The real car was a Chevrolet 1937-40 heavilly modified, shopped and equipped with a Corvette engine. Most of these cars were build at home with spares found here, there, and with limited resources, however, it was common to see some of them racing ahead of pure sport cars here like Porsches, lotus Europa, among others.
The car is not finished yet, it is pending to include the side mirrors, and other minor details. Original kit is a modified Pyro with brass scratch built chassis, BWA wheels/inserts and a skinny motor (similar to Scalex moto GP engines) the headlights supports are metal made , soldered and fixed to the chassis with micro screws. Decals are home made.
I hope you like it.
Thanks!!!!
