A long time ago I started on an Auto Union D Type.



Now I have learned a little more about these cars, so I have started again. I would like to build a 1938 car (the model is 1939) perhaps Bernd at Donington?

The new model has been started today. The chassis is made in Dural aluminium and takes a Slot it in-line motor pod. The axle is offset in order that I can fit some large rear wheels.



Some small modifications have been made to the Revell body to accept the rear axle mountings.



The motor is a very close fit, and again needed a small amount of trimming at the rear of the cockpit.



I think this will be a good car!

The great advantage of this car is the possibility of building a detailed cockpit, and the great advantage of the kit is, to make the bonnet removable and to reproduce the 12-cyl.-engine.

I am very curious about the resilt!
