can you tell me, what type of chassis you normally use.

Hi guys. The bodyshell has been made from balsa wood as I find it very easy to work with. To create a shell on top of the surface, I use a high build primer filler. The chassis under the car now is a PCS32 although I have plans for a photo etched platform chassis incorporating an ackerman steering system and also working rear suspension. The wheels inserts are my own design fitted inside modified BWAs. The body as it stands is being prepared to take a rubber mould with a view to casting the shell in resin. I'm sure it will look even better with glazing, all the photo etched details, grill, window surrounds etc. and of course a properly finished coat of paint. I'm glad you like it. Regards, Graham.

it's always astonishing for me to see what you're able to do with balsa wood - can't believe it! Such a clear shape, very well done proportions - my compliments!

ich kann dich nur zu deiner entscheidung beglückwünschen.
ich habe mir vor einiger zeit den kit aston martin dp 214, le mans 1963 bestellt;
ein wunderbarer bausatz, perfekt gearbeitet und präsentiert.
ich gehe davon aus, dass sich der von dir georderte kit in seiner machart nicht unterscheiden wird.
zudem, zu einem preisniveau , von dem sich andere hersteller längst deutlich entfernt haben.
leider bin ich noch nicht dazu gekommen, meinen bausatz zu bearbeiten...............

Hi guys. Many thanks for your very encouraging remarks. Here are a couple of shots showing how the Zagato is developing. A very light coat of grey primer has shown where the odd bubble in the resin need to be addressed.
The shut lines have been re-cut and look very sharp indeed. The interior is a re-cast of a modified Scalextric DB4 GT. It's now getting very close to being complete.

The Zagato will have to be a two part cast due to all the detail and potential air traps. So the inside has to be finished off as well to allow the PCS chassis to drop inside. A couple of shots below showing the mountings and the chassis in place prior to fixing.

Hiya guys. A few nice pics of the Zagato now in paint. The colour should be Almond green metallic, but the closest i've managed to find is Ford Forest Green. I think it looks ok. I'm more or less there with the glazing with everything now fitting quite snug. I did'nt notice until I was editing the photographs that the side window had popped out. A little more work there I think. A few details added and decals applied. All i'm waiting for is the photo etched production parts and then it's complete. Form a queue here.

The Zagato is now very nearly complete. The photo etched parts have arrived and all I need to do now is fit them up and make sure everything is ok. I still have a minor problem on the side glazing but hopefull that should be rectified this weekend. I havn't had chance to fit all the detail parts as yet, but here's a sample. The grill is a two part piece with the surrounding trim being a seperate item. The vertical bars on the grill have been half etched, giving the impression that they are actually behind the horizontal bars. More to come and to all you guys who are eagerly waiting for the kits, they are literally days away now. Hopefully I should be shipping Thursday of next week.

Hi guys. Well here it is at long last, the finished Zagato. It took a few nudges to get the glazing to fit as snug as I wanted it, otherwise the photo etched frames just wouldn't have looked right. Each glazing piece is seperate as is each frame. The wipers have a half etch just below the blade enabling a ninety degree bend allowing the blade to sit against the glass as it should. The tiny Z is an exact copy and is to scale of course. Kits are now available and if anyone is interested, please send me a private message. Thanks for your interest and your encouraging remarks.
