Here is one of my latest projects, the Alfetta as raced at Silverstone for the British GP in 1950.

The car of course is based on the GTM kit.

This project is quite new, so there is still much work to do.

My aim is to complete it for next year, but I think it will be earlier because of the weather.

Hello, Peter,

the Alfetta will be one of my next projects, but I will do it with a Dave Jones-body and a PP-chassis.
The GTM-kits have one great advantage: the very good detailing, particularly of the suspension. I like that very much.
You show there one of your new selfmade steering wheels, don´t you? It looks very realistic!

I wish you a good progress with this car (should I hope, there should be bad weather in GB? ;-))

VBR, Taffy

Hi Taffy, I also have the Dave Jones shell and will try and paint this as well. Again regarding quality of detail, this I think is one of Daves better shells, though the moulding quality of all of the Dave Jones shells seems very good indeed.
I'm afraid that in the past I have got rid of some fibre glass shells, because they were so bad.

Yes, the steering wheel is one of my new ones.

The road wheels also are new and this set is the first set I have made up. These wheels were originally planned to suit a couple of pre-war Maseratis but of course with additional sizes made, are now suitable for several other cars of the period, including of course, the Alfetta..

Hi

The wheels look brilliant, with this drilled brake drums. very nice work
And also the steering wheel is very nice. Didn´t George put his resin steering wheels with the kit? I think they are also not bad.

I have also looked for the GTM Alfetta, so this project is interesting for me, to see how it looks in detail.

regards
matthias
