Hello everyone I want to show my last work !
it is a resin body kit to build a Ford Fairlane Victoria 1956 in 1/32 scale .
on this scale and in this version of the model I believe is an unprecedented !
This car , with its V8 Ford , took part in the NASCAR championship
and every other kind of competition in the US , and also two of these cars also took part in the rally of Monte Carlo in the edition of 1956 .
But like any American classic car , it has been over the years also subjected to all kinds of processing and customization ..
mild custom , hot rod , dragster or funny gasser 60s , etc .
my first version , however, will be a police car of the '50s ...
soon I hope to show you his work in progress ...

Hello everyone !
with this same resin kit I'm making a NASCAR-style version of the 50's!

I first realized the decals with the graphics and sponsors usually used on those machines in those years ... as the name of the pilot took me to my nephew as I believe that in the end I'll give it to him!

the first thing I eliminated all side moldings on the body ...

Bild

after having also carried out the holes to let pass the light of the headlights
I spent a spray primer to prepare the body to the paint according to the scheme that I have designed ..

Bild

after painting and applying decals, although it still lacks the transparent and the finish, I did a pre-assembly with replicated those of Carrera wheels for cars of the same kind ...
I wanted to see the overall effect !!

just I can go on I will publish more photos ...

Hello MDR-Slot,

Welcome here at the -German Scratchbuilt Forum-.
These american cars are a little bit out of my focus but you did a fantastic job. In particular the finish of all details is excellent. :daumen
I am looking forward to see the finished model. By the way: lighting for headlamps only?

regards, claus

hello Claus
thank you very much for appreciating my work! ...
I'm happy because I have often looked at your works, and I think they are really cool!
I like the old American cars, but I also love the classic European cars! style, technical report, speed .. unequaled class !!!

on my Ford also i will put the tail lights, when small red lenses are ready!
but my electrical system is quite simple compared to those made by you ... I saw that on your slot you can mount tiny LEDs, and even a small board ... maybe to adjust the stop light?
you could tell me where I can find this type of material?
thank you again...
Also I will continue to follow your great work ...
Regards, Mark

Hello Mark,

normally I use small led components for rear lighting positions.
Distribution and sale by a german wholesale house for electronic components.
Have a look here:
https://www.conrad.de/de/Search.html?gc ... L!222!3!16
(I think you can buy these -smd-led components- (or similar ones) at your home country, too........)
For mounting well do a base construction which is coordinated with your chassis / body. The board is cut off a fine polystyrol sheet (thickness 0,5mm)
Both small led pieces were fixed with -CA- glue on that base board.

regards, claus

thank you so much Claus ! :danke
I will try these small LEDs,
they would also be perfect to achieve additional or fog lights in classic rally cars!

Regards, Marco
